This wonderful soft scarf is woven in a new yarn
that is produced in New Zealand. It consists of a blend of soft Merino wool, Possum fibre and silk. Because
the Possum fibre has microscopic airpockets it has
thermal capacities, is very light and about 7%
warmer than wool.
In this sample the yarn is 110/2 TEX and I set it at 24epi.
If you want to know more about the Possum blend
click on it.

here I was playing around with a network twill
or extended twill. All three samplers have been
woven on the same threading
I am quite happy with the pattern but not so with
the feel of the cloth, I used a fine cotton thread,
32/2 but must have sett it too close, the scarves
feel quite stiff and do not drape nicely. I look at
it as a learning experience

this is one of my favorites, I wove a series of those
scarves using Schappe Silk set at 40 epi, the pattern
is from a Handwoven magazin

here a number of tea towels I made for friends
and family. They are woven with cotton at 24 epi
this triangle shawls is woven
with ring spun and brushed
mohair as well as the new felted
mohair yarn.
I wove this as a trial for one of
our local angora goat farmers

One of my first attempts in using
linen, this mock damast table runner
is from a Handwoven magazin

My contribution to our Area exhibition,
our guild chose the theme "black & white"
This overshot sampler is woven in pure
wool, sett at 12 epi

Using Schappe Silk sett at 40 epi I
wove a series of these scarves in
different colours. They are wonderfully
soft to the touch and drape beautifully.
