| This wonderful soft scarf is woven in a new yarn that is produced in New Zealand. It consists of a blend of soft Merino wool, Possum fibre and silk. Because the Possum fibre has microscopic airpockets it has thermal capacities, is very light and about 7% warmer than wool. In this sample the yarn is 110/2 TEX and I set it at 24epi. If you want to know more about the Possum blend click on it. |

here I was playing around with a network twill or extended twill. All three samplers have been woven on the same threading I am quite happy with the pattern but not so with the feel of the cloth, I used a fine cotton thread, 32/2 but must have sett it too close, the scarves feel quite stiff and do not drape nicely. I look at it as a learning experience |
| this is one of my favorites, I wove a series of those scarves using Schappe Silk set at 40 epi, the pattern is from a Handwoven magazin |
